At OUI, we see history repeating itself. Just as Prohibition gave way to the regulated alcohol industry we know today, cannabis is following a similar path—state by state, law by law. We're launching OUI at this pivotal moment when the landscape is still shifting because this is when OUI is needed the most.

In states where regulations are still catching up and opportunistic merchants are flooding the market with untested (not safe), unregulated products, OUI is here as a bright well-lighted path for women looking for the health and wellness aspects of cannabis without the "stoner" vibes because we believe that every woman deserves access to the benefits of cannabis, without compromising legality, safety or quality.

Like the end of Prohibition, this is a time of both challenge and opportunity. At OUI, we're seizing this moment to build a brand that American women can trust. We're not just marketing products—we're pioneering a new approach to women's wellness, that's as forward-thinking as the women we serve.

OUI keeps on-top of legalization and will update our customers on breakthroughs- check back!

Federal Law

Cannabis, “Marijuana” is classified as a Schedule I drug under the Controlled Substances Act, “determined to have a high potential for abuse and no accepted medical use, prohibiting its use for any purpose.”  Despite this prohibition, federal law is generally not enforced against the possession, cultivation, or intrastate distribution of cannabis in states where such activity has been legalized.

Hemp Based Cannabis is Legal in all 50 States

Hemp: The Cannabis Sativa L. plant species with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration of less than 0.3% on a dry weight basis.

"Marijuana " is a Schedule I narcotic and is illegal, but de-criminalized enabling state regulation.

Cannabis L.Sativa with delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration of less than 0.3%on a dry weight basis. Products made with Hemp are not regulated, tested for consistency, quality, anything. CBD purchased from untrusted, unknown sources should be met with suspicion, especially products that are advertised as delta-9, delta-8 CBD. Just becasue the product is "legal" doesn't mean it's safe. The safest most effective products are products that are made by reputable brands that are transparent about ingredients, process and lab results.

Medical Cannabis is legal in 38 of 50 States
Medical marijuana refers to the use of cannabis or cannabinoids to treat medical conditions or alleviate symptoms under the supervision of a healthcare provider. It can be prescribed in various forms, including oils, pills, or dried plant material, for conditions like chronic pain, epilepsy, nausea from chemotherapy, and others.
U.S. federal law does not allow the use of whole plant Cannabis sativa or its parts for any purpose. Many states allow THC to be used for medical reasons. Healthcare professionals in those states can suggest medical marijuana, what dose to take and what type to use. But they can't prescribe it.

AND federal laws about marijuana outweigh state laws. Because of this, people may be arrested and charged with having marijuana, called possession, even in states where Medical marijuana use is legal. This is rarely enforced excepting in connection with other crimes.

Recreational Cannabis is legal in 24 of 50 States

Recreational marijuana is a term used in states with "legalization" laws to describe non-medical cannabis use. However, OUI recognizes that this distinction is often arbitrary. Most women consume cannabis with health, wellness, and well-being objectives in mind, regardless of legal classification.

Cannabis use exists on a spectrum from medicinal to wellness to social. OUI believes in responsible regulation across all uses. We market carefully formulated products with balanced cannabinoid profiles, acknowledging that products used for specific benefits may have significant benefits.

OUI understands that cannabis is multifaceted - it can be used for relaxation, social connection, symptom relief, or personal growth. While "recreation" may be one aspect, cannabis offers a much broader range of potential benefits for women's overall well-being.
