SLEEP

“I try to find a reason to laugh each day. Somehow, if you can incorporate laughter into your day, every day, it really helps. It’s the little things in life that make me happy.”

CHEAT SHEET
A good belly laugh, extended giggles, and a healthy helping of ridiculousness are key to a healthy lifestyle. Laughing has been proven to improve cardiovascular health, having long-term positive impacts on circulation, increased blood oxygenation, and reduced blood pressure. Consistent doses of laughter have also been proven to lead to better mental health and resilience to stress, and enhance social bonds when shared, increasing feelings of "trust" and "closeness."
OUI believe in the power of laughter to heal our spirit, to fill us with the strength of joy, and leave us relaxed and connected. We want you to laugh. Be brash or rumble, let it burst through your nose or rise from your belly; the longer it takes you, the better. And there is nothing like cannabis to lift the mood and bring on some giggles.

Low and slow. Edibles can last up to 6 hours depending on your food intake; vape will last up to 2 hours.

-
THC and CBD work together. Too much THC? Tone it down with CBD. (Keep a CBD vape pen on hand.)

-
Drinking alcohol with cannabis amplifies the effects of the alcohol. A good rule of thumb is to multiply your drink by 2 if you have consumed cannabis before or while drinking.
The Joy of Cannabis: Laughter, Well-Being, and Responsible Enjoyment

Why Laughter is the best medicine
There is no shame in finding a product that lifts you up quickly, can usher in feelings of warmth, safety, and well-being, while also giving your brain a little tickle. Because laughter and enjoyment are as critical to your well-being as eating, breathing, and water. We simply don't do enough of it and should. Because laughter leads to:
-
Improved cardiovascular health: Laughter has been associated with improved circulation, reduced blood pressure, and increased blood oxygenation. A study by Miller et al. (2009) found that laughter may improve vascular function and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
-
Better mental health: Regular laughter can help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, promoting better overall mental health. A review by Yim (2016) suggests that laughter therapy can be an effective complementary treatment for depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.
-
Increased resilience to stress: Laughing regularly may help build resilience to stress by reducing stress hormones and promoting a positive outlook. A study by Papousek et al. (2017) found that people who laughed more in their daily lives had lower levels of stress and anxiety.
-
Enhanced social connections: Sharing laughter with others can strengthen social bonds and improve relationships. Laughter has been shown to increase feelings of closeness, trust, and cooperation among individuals (Kurtz & Algoe, 2015).
-
Easier pain management: Laughter has been found to increase pain thresholds and may be helpful in managing chronic pain conditions. A review by Pérez-Aranda et al. (2019) suggests that laughter therapy can be an effective complementary treatment for chronic pain.
-
Improved overall quality of life: By reducing stress, improving mood, and strengthening social connections, regular laughter can contribute to an overall improvement in quality of life. A study by Kim et al. (2015) found that laughter therapy improved quality of life and decreased depression in elderly people.

Using Cannabis to Lift the Mood
When using cannabis to lift your mood and bring in a bit of wonder and joy, it's important to think about the experience you want. Products will deliver certain feelings but the general rules is.
Products that are predominantly Sativa-based are energizing and uplifting, typically making people chatty or giggly. But some Sativa can be too energizing for some and lead to anxiety. We recommend products that leverage CBD to calm the anxious effects of Sativa.
Products that are predominantly hybrid-based will provide a calmer experience; these hybrids are good for people who are looking for more relaxed enjoyment.
Products that leverage other Terpenes and Cannabinoids to amplify effects are fun joyful adventures. For example Kikoko Tea XXX is crafted specifically for a laugh with the sister-tribe.
No one has ever overdosed on cannabis alone. Many people have overdosed on other drugs that they took with cannabis, but as of writing, there is no example in the historical record of a human overdosing on cannabis alone. But there is nothing worse than the feeling of being "too high."
If you overdo it
No worries. We have all been there. You are not going to die. Think of the times you've been over-served alcohol.
Firstly, tell yourself no one has ever overdosed on cannabis.
Second, drink plenty of cool water.
We suggest keeping a CBD vape on hand; if you feel you've gotten too high, just a few puffs on the CBD vape and your endocannabinoid system (ECS) will regulate.
Go to bed. You will not wake up with a hangover.
How to avoid getting too high:
- Know your product. Only state-regulated products with a state seal should be trusted.
- Edibles take 30-90 minutes to onset.
- Vape takes 5-20 minutes to onset (depending on your sensitivity).
- Beverages, like alcohol, take 20-30 minutes for onset.
- Use metered devices if you are vaping. If there are none available, use this trick:
- Inhale: DO-RE-MI. Hold: FA-SO-LA. Out: TI-DO. (This is one dose.)
- If you drink and get high, you may become very sick.
With the increased education through regulation, we now have access to research and actual accounts from medical professionals in regulated states. This has amplified our knowledge of CHS or Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome. If you are a mother of Middle school to College age kiddos you have heard about CHS and CUD. OUi like this article from Cedar Siani
CHS and CUD : What is cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome?
Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) is a condition that leads to repeated and severe bouts of vomiting. It is rare and only occurs in daily long-term users of marijuana.
